JERAMIE |
In early 2009 Jeramie won the design competition run by Coffs Harbour City council to design a sign and sculpture for The Cavanbah Centre. The design was based on the meaning of Cavanbah an aboriginal word for "Meeting Place". Jeramies design was based on the universal symbol of a meeting place, a shady tree. In front of the tree are several "Obelisk" or pod shapes carved from local timbers, which represent the people gathering. The trees are created from raw sheet steel. |
